I own a 1978 GL1000. It’s one of my 7 bikes and it does need work. Carbs need rebuilding, steering stem bearings need replacement, needs an entire new brake system and wiring harness. But it was free! I’m a professional motorcycle mechanic with my own shop, so doing the work isn’t a problem. Finding time to do it is the main problem. Bit, I hope to get going on it soon. I already pulled out the fuel tank that was rusty inside and have cleaned and sealed the inside and painted the outside.
