I bought a 87 gl1200a. It is a one owner bike. I did not run when i bought it cue to carb issues. I knew this going in. I ordered a set of carb kits off of amazom that included all the o-rings for the fuel tubes between carbs. The kit cam with new vacuum slide needles as well. These needles are made of brass instead of aluminum, which makes them about 3 times heavier then the stock ones. I am looking for opinions or preferably experience with people that have used brass slide needles. My thought is being the slides are vacuum operated, this could change throttle response or make the throttle feel heavy. Any thoughts are appreciated.
As a bonus, It also gave me a reason to buy a new ultrasonic cleaner. Now that i know how to use it well it is a game changer.
