Recalls and VIN check on a used Goldwing

I'm finally looking to get a Goldwing and have been eyeing a few used units. I'm hoping to get a bike that's been properly maintained and has all its service history up to date. I'm looking at a couple of 2010-2015 GL1800s and a newer 2018.

I worry about purchasing a bike that has been recalled. How do I know if this issue has been fixed? What are the big ones I should be aware of on the models I mentioned? I've heard a little about recalls on fuel pump, brake, and something about a crankshaft bolt.

Is it as simple as just running the VIN through the Honda or NHTSA site, or are there any specific things I should ask the seller about? Any advice or personal experiences would be a huge help!

Yeah man, just run the VIN through Honda's site or NHTSA and it'll tell you if the recalls are done. Biggest ones were the fuel pump, rear brake drag, and that crankshaft bolt issue, ask sellers for proof.

yo bro, def run the VIN on Honda/NHTSA, ask seller for service records, watch for fuel pump, brake, crankshaft recalls, 2010–2015 vs 2018 differences, always check recall fixes
